Causal relationships in biology using multi-omics and large perturbation libraries
Technology
Z-Screen replaces the conventional 96-well plate experimental format with a 50,000 - 200,000 well plate format containing a built-in mRNA sequencer. This allows every cell that is imaged in an assay to be sequenced, as well, revealing rich causal relationships between perturbations, molecular responses, cell function and cell interactions. Unlike traditional high-throughput screening, Z-Screen does not rely on robotics for its scale. Nanofabrication innovations allow millions of experiments to be performed per day on a benchtop instrument.

Active-Drug-seq: Simultaneous phenotypic and molecular HTS
Applications
The universal Zafrens workflow takes two inputs - cells and beads - and provides paired longitudinal imaging and sequencing data as outputs at extremely high throughput.
